The Federation of Rose Societies of South Africa was constituted in 1980 from R.O.S.A. (Rose Society of South Africa, founded in 1961) and four regional rose societies. In the year 2006 R.O.S.A. is comprised of 13 regional rose societies with a total membership of approximately 2000.
Correspondence should be directed to the Hon. Secretary who will distribute it to the relevant councilors and Societies.
National Conventions are organized every two years by one of the regional societies. A R.O.S.A. Annual is published as well as quarterly R.O.S.A. News.
The regional rose societies offer rose shows or rose days in spring (October.) Autumn (March/April) rose competitions are held in Gauteng, Cape Town and Knysna.

Annual subscription fee for foreign members: $10.00 US or €10.00
